Cheap 50th Truck In California
I would be bidding on it, but it has those funky lien papers which I have found out are a pain in the butt outside Cali. And if you try to convert them in Cali, they try to nail you with all types of fees.

What if, hypothetically speaking, a person from Cal buys it and then turns around and sells it to an Arizonan? What hapens then? Same scenario?

The fees and fines travel with the car. I have gotten screwed by california's back fees before. I bought one car for $600 and ended paying someone elses $240 back fees on the car to get a title from California. Needless to say I was not happy. lol I still don't know how California gets away with charging people other peoples fees. I am still trying to figure that one out. That is why I like the states where the plates stay with the people and not the car. Since the owner has not register this vehicle with the lien papers, fees and fines are going to be owed since the date on the papers. Not cheap

How do you know that truck is a 50th?
Or did it just say it in the auction and I can't read.

Because I know everything j/k
That gold and the gold/parchment interior was only available on the 50th's. You have to look around the primer

I think the back registration only goes backa few years...I know there is a cap on it, but it is still stupid and should be illegal.

Welcome to The "Golden State" land of the fruits and nuts! When our beloved governor, Gay Dumbass (whom of which I did NOT vote for BTW), gets done with this state there is going to be more natives, the writer of this chime included, to be seeking refuge in another, less liberal and overall f***ed up state in which to reside!!!Texas here I come!!!!
He wants to TRIPLE the fees on registration in order to cover his ass for the poor decisions he made in his tenure and now expects all of California's citizens to bail his wimpy ass out!! |

Would those fees still be there with a salvage title?

In this case yes. The guy does not have a salvage title. He has lien paperwork. Since he did not turn in the paperwork when he got the truck, fees are owed from that date.

Nope, no leaded fuel here! Not any place I've come across anyway.

I bought a 72 gmc in ca, and the registration was last paid in 1994. I paid registration up to date and got Custom Plates and it was only 130.00 And remember custom plates are 40.00.

I remember pulling in to a station right across the street from the London Bridge next to the Pizza Hut and they sold it there. That was several years ago though.
