Re: ID this trans / Transfer case / adapter

He don't have it anymore but it was late '80s or early '90s but had been modified and lifted so don't know how much of it was still stock. I don't know all that much about Toyotas just remember it seemed like it looked close to that somewhat.

Re: ID this trans / Transfer case / adapter

So far the only mentioning of TCK that I have found is with an adapter for a TH350 to a Toyota Tcase. However, bolt and mounting area does not appear to be consistent with that of a GM Auto trans.

Yea, the bolt pattern dosent look right. Mabey there is a additional adapter.
These must be tough little transfer cases to hold up to a V8.

Re: ID this trans / Transfer case / adapter

Ok , so i checked AA and their adapter for a th350 dosent look anything like this. I think it is a older Downey unit. Its 2 piece. One bolts to the TC, the other bolts to the TH350, a bearing and a splined sleeve in the middle, bolt the two together.
Hmmm, i think i'm missing a couple pieces of the puzzle.

Its coming back to me now. This Toyota used to mud bog at the Buck Motorsports Park. It had a 350 V8, 36" super swampers, and a Ford 9" rear. I didnt know about the TH350 trans, (or I forgot). But this set up used to kick some serious a$$ at the races.

Re: ID this trans / Transfer case / adapter

I looked at all the junk I have laying around and I too think there is another "shim" adaptor that mounts on the TH350 output so yours can be bolted on to it. Might also be a stub shaft conversion or extension missing too. Nice compact unit.

I believe TCK is the name of the company but have not been able to find a lot about them.
