call David Boyd, PM him or email. He will fix you up, the 63-72 tanks are pretty much all the same except you can chose where to have the fill at. The fram rails are identical.

Double check your dimensions because the panhard bar brace doesn't sit in the frame @ 90 degrees(one side doesnt have the clearance as the other). That being said,I bought one of Dave's tanks (for a 61) and I am very happy with it!He'll build any dimensions you need.

Re: has anybody bought boyds gas tank?

The frames are the same from '63-'72. So a tank intended for a '67-'72 will fit the same in a '63-'66. This is why the '69-'72 Blazer tanks will fit the '63-'72 trucks. I have read in his for sale thread about the crossmember issue with the shortbed trucks. Since he is now aware of the issue, I would think it has been taken care of.

Re: has anybody bought boyds gas tank?

We have found that some of the shortbeds have the rear crossmember in a slightly forward position, by one inch. Not sure if this was a plant differance issue or MFG issue, measure twice, then call.
