The Real Wood Deal!

As you can see I did a mock up version of the "WoodGrain" look in my truck.. I was a bit ghetto and used shelf paper for the "wood" look to get a feel of it.. took some heavy exacto-knife skills...LOL but you all get the idea... What I'm trying to do.. is see if anybody got those dash-kits that are pre-cut to fit.. with a wood grain pattern,. not necesarilly 'real' wood..... I've seen them a few times before, but can't remember where to get a hold of something like that... Thanks for any ideas or posts.

Thats Kool!!...Thats what I call custom! Or even stuff thats not actual wood.. would look good I'm assuming... I know they have the stick on stuff for these newer cars.. to simulate the woodgrain look.....

Re: The Real Wood Deal!

Yeah... i know that real wood that motornut has probably costs a pretty penny!.. but it looks great. I was thinking that pre-cut simulated stuff. I tried the link you left for me.. but I didn't get anything???

Re: The Real Wood Deal!

You could use the panels and trim from a '77. The arm rests are real wood, but not original.

Re: The Real Wood Deal!

I think it looks really good in the pics. If it looks as good in person I would just leave it. To me it looks more OEM, as I never thought that OEM looked that "real" to begin with.

"Instrument Bezel Insert Repair Kits" and it comes in woodgrain or brushed aluminum.i would wait a couple days as i read there website currently has a trojan horse virus so maybe wait a few days to let them iron out that issue before checking out there site.
