Front Speaker Ideas

I am looking at upgrading the stereo in my 91 suburban and installing some 6 1/2" component speakers in the front. I have seen the kick panel kits available but was looking for something on the door. I dont really want to cut a big hole in the door though.

Does anybody have any unigue ways of installing speakers in the front other than the standard cut the 6" hole in the doors or standard kick panel kits?

Re: Front Speaker Ideas

Maybe figure out how to get a kickpanel enclosure to bolt onto the door itself.

Re: Front Speaker Ideas

I put 8" speakers at the bottom of the doors and 6" speakers where the pockets are on the top.

I've seen a speaker fiberglassed onto the bottom of the kick panel. he also used a color match plastic fusion type paint from lmc looked great wish i had a picture but it was totaled.
