GM Alarm System?
Wondering if anyone has installed a GM alarm system in their 73-87 truck, blazer or suburban?
Viper seems to be the favorite here (been reading through posts today on alarms). Sounds funny, but I really like the GM keyfobs and am fond of GM products in general, so thought I'd ask to see if anyone has used a newer GM alarm system in our older trucks?

Re: GM Alarm System?
dont waste your time with oe alarms.. just get one with a pager so you will know when somethings happening... you probally will wind up paying the same price for either...

Re: GM Alarm System?
I used to install alarms for a living, and I second the get the one with a pager, about the same price , but you could get more out of it, shock sensor, some even come with a noise sensor you can install inside the truck , remote start, auto windows up or down,(if electric windows) or if you have air bags also bags up or down, or if you have shaved door handels you could pop the doors open with the remote etc etc,,I dont know how good you are with wiring, but they are not that hard to install, specially in this older trucks
