Need help with pricing a 66 chevy pickup

Hi Guys.. my dad has an original 66 chevy pickup with, he thinks, the 283 engine. runs good etc, only 1 front brake works ( the way he bought it). The body is fair but not great. it has some other minor problems. A guy approached him the other day to buy it but dad has no idea what it's worth. Can anyone give me a roundabout idea what it might be worth ? Thx Scott

check craigslist for your area. in BC [Canada] the truck would be worth up to $25000.00 in mint shape. not so mint, like your dads, could be as low as $1000.00. Custom Classic Truck magazine has shown some in the states for around the $1800.00 range for rough but running. best to check local classified ads and see what your area is getting for them and go from there.

Thx for the info. My dad uses it as a work truck on their farm in Tennessee so it's pretty rough overall. it is by no means anywhere near a mint truck.

There are differences in what area you're in, but the way I like to do it is to check eBay completed items. Look for a truck in the same condition as your dad's and only the ones with the dollar amount in green, meaning that it did sell.

Welcome to the site-
Got a picture? What part of TN?
Alot of variables that would affect value. You can also check Craigslist for an idea.
