Re: doomed c-50
Thanks for making me sad... every time an old truck gets put down, it's like someone kicking me in the doinklet - it hurts.

Re: doomed c-50
actually this truck is complete, and pretty solid, it even has vacuum guage set in it and an original small block with power steer assist I think. The yard wouldnt let me take any parts from it though and I practically begged for some parts

Re: doomed c-50
That's not the only one I've ever seen going to be scrapped or crushed
I saw one just last month when I brought in a little bit of stuff I had laying around.

Re: doomed c-50
i thought it'd be sweet to make a hauler with a c-50 or c-60 to haul the Blazer to offroading stuff for when its pushed a little bit too hard... paint with the same scheme prolly would need to use a newer lo-pro chassis though, the blazer would be up there riding on top of that flat above...

Re: doomed c-50
Ive been working with the yard and I think Im gonna be able to pull parts!!!! what should I look for? I dont think I could afford to buy the whole fron clip so thats out of the question though, Im thinkin the front bumper cuz it looks like a 1/2 ton bumper as well but I didnt look real close, the guages for sure, and what else? Remember it is a 67

Re: doomed c-50
Looks like a 68 to me. The front bumper looks like a bigger truck and not a pickup. The 50 emblems are worth a little, but not alot. Usually the seat belts are in decent shape on these also.

Re: doomed c-50
It's not their fault. There is some kind of legal issue. Once they go over the scale you can't pick the parts off them.
