Different fan shroud or cover

I have swapped my original 350 for a '92 TBI engine in my '71 Cheyenne. The new engine uses a longer water pump and the fan sits closer to the stock 4-row radiator, so my original fan shroud will not fit. I'm not so concerned about a shroud for cooling as much as a cover to prevent someone or something from hitting the fan from the top.

Does any one know of a stock application (6 cyl or different year) with a shallower shroud, or just a cover that mounts to the core support or radiator and extends out over the top of the fan?

Thanks.

I believe the stock 6 cyl trucks came with a little finger guard that would work. Or, the aftermarket makes a cheapy chrome one that is a simple ring shaped piece that will work. Or, just make a simple flat one out of steel sheet that screws to the top of the radiator, not through the actual core, though.

Would anyone have a picture of a stock 6 cyl engine compartment showing the fan shroud or guard?
