Flip Kit question..

Hey, Are any of you guys running the flip kits without a C-notch? If so, what kind of shocks are you using and do you bottom out much (without a load). Trying to figure out if the C-notch will be necessary.. I really need to do something about the stance of my truck. Also pictures of any and all different types of drops would be appreciated. Just tell me what kind of drop it is, and if you have rims tell me what size please. Thanks, I am sure this will help me as well as a lot of the other new guys.

Re: Flip Kit question..

My rear is flipped with stock shocks and no notch. It isnt too bad but I still plan to notch it...gives me an excuse to go lower anyways.

Your rear end is dropped 6 with just a flip? Is that about the average? Mine is flipped and it doesn't look as low as yours.

Re: Flip Kit question..

I did mine without the notch, and went back and added it later, since the flip kit came with it. (That was a good excuse to clean everything up and paint it) I also used shock extenders and stock shocks.

Re: Flip Kit question..

I have a flip kit with shock extenders with stock style bilstein shocks and no notch. I carry my Honda rubicon in the back of it with out it bottoming out. How?I don't know. I did cut the bump stop off of the frame and installed a thin poly bumper.

Re: Flip Kit question..

My truck has a flip kit without a C-notch. I have no problems with bottoming out without a load. The kit I bought came with Toxic shocks and new frame bump stops as well as shock extenders. I ordered the kit from Stylin Concepts and I think the manufacturer is DJM. The total drop is 5" all the way around. I'm running 20"X9" wheels in the rear and 18"X9" wheels up front.
