That's how I did mine. Spliced them together @ the factory union under the pass side of the cab.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Need some part number help here

So if I am reading this right I can put 73-80 rotors on my 71-72 spindles? And also buy 73-80 front to rear shortbed brakelines and it will all match up?

Re: Need some part number help here

73-80 rotors, calipers, pads, bearings and seals, absolutely. They are direct interchange.

You can also use the 73-80 brake hoses and lines too. Beware though, that you need to use all or none of the brake hoses and lines. The 73-80 brake lines are much different than 72 and earlier. The prop valve mounts down under the radiator. But, if you remove all of the lines from the master cylinder to the wheels, they will all bolt on.

My current 63 has every inch of factory 80 model brake lines and hoses under it.

Re: Need some part number help here

The rotors were the biggest part as they are cheaper then the 71-72 as are the calipers. Thanks TX Firefighter!

Re: Need some part number help here

well i picked up the rotors finally, but the dude said the bearings are special order, but when i called last night they had em lol

can anyone find a pn from o reilly on what else i need? these rotors did not come with any bearings, so im gonna need to buy them. im guessing it needs inner and outer? when i took my old one off it only had one on there...

its a lot easier for me just to go in with a pn and tell them to get it, their guessing game sucks lol
