Re: Should i keep this patina look or No???

I'm already real tired of patina and ESPECIALLY fake patina.

Personally, I'm not dropping hundreds (thousands?) of hours; not to mention dollars, in my hobby/dream and then have it look worn out.

Just my $.02. You asked

Re: Should i keep this patina look or No???

Patina is kind of like a black eye. It looks cool if you've got a story to go with it. Of course if you just slop some makeup on well.... Just my opinion.

paint it... satin black would work. patina is real, tough to fake. the rest of your truck looks real. the paint should be as nice as the rest. $.02

I only like old factory paint that is naturally worn and faded. That`s the whole point, unmolested original.Once it`s painted, you gotta keep on painting. You know what they say,"It`s only original once".That`s what patina is,natural aging. It`s a state not a look.

Re: Should i keep this patina look or No???

From up here in the heavy rustbelt, "patina" means it's a ****box. Maybe when the budget allows, then it'll get a paintjob. Perspective is everything. I'll admit there are some nice looking real-tina trucks on here. I don't deny that. But there is NO rust showing on them. From up here in salt country, I'll take mine shiney, thank you very much. (And so sorry to those that I have offended--but if you're actually offended..........)
