Best cab repair option??

First off the truck wont be a show truck but more of a street rod..... The floor pan has rust holes about half dollar size on both sides and the rockers are rusted through about a quater size in spots on both sides.... The cab corners arent rusted but one has been dented and repaired before. I was wondering if any of you have opinions of repai kits where I can buy it all together for a good price. I ws also told about POR-15 repair kits with resin tape or something. Any ideas about this? I have done a little research on this stuff but I work 15 hour days and dont get much time to look it all up. I will post some pics of the truck ASAP and thanks for the input in advance!!

post pics and show us what it looks like.. sounds like on the cab corner u can just hammer and dolly it out and use a little skim coat there on the others id try maybe cuttin the little section out and welding in a small section

I will post pics as soon as I get back in town... I am currently in Maryland for work and wont be back until next Friday. I am tired of the truck sitting!!!

The rust you see is only about 1/2 to 1/3 of what is really there. The floors can be fixed with a simple patch. For the rockers, I'd pop off the outers and see what's what on the inside....I'll bet there is rot in there too. If the corners aren't rusted you should be able to bodywork them back into shape.
There is no "KIT" per se', for dealing with rust, it's all a matter of cutting out the bad and welding in new panels.
POR-15 is not a "rust repair" product. It is an airtight coating that prevents oxygen from reaching the metal- thus preventing further oxidation (rust). But it does not enhance the structure. Any pitting or thinning of the metal that has occured will still be there.
Being as your logging some hours on the job- you may want to question your decision to embark on a "project" and look towards buying a truck that has had all the rust and paint issues taken care of and just needs a little "finishing". JMHO- no offense intended.

I appreciate all the points. I havent really had time to do much to the truck lately. The truck is backhalfed with a Ford 9", the cab and a little bed work is really all I have left for body work. I have been looking for another small window cab but no luck so I will just fix the floor and rockers on mine. I also need some Autometer gauges to make my cluster if anyone has some used or knows where to get some for a good price. I will post pics of the truck when I get back home... Thanks again
