Need help! Broken shock bolts!
So yesterday I was installing some new shocks and both of the lower shock bolts (in the LCA) snapped in half. The shock came out but now I have no way of bolting in the new one. Can you guys give me some options for fixing this? (without taking the whole LCA apart). This kind of thing is really why I hate working on my vehicles. I usually either strip, lose, or break the last nut, bolt, or screw ....

Re: Need help! Broken shock bolts!
doesnt a regular bolt go through the LCA? its the one on the side of the frame thats special... why not just cut the old one out and get a grade 8?

Re: Need help! Broken shock bolts!
As in the below pictures the bolts go in from the bottom into square nuts welded to the LCA. It looks kinda easy to grind square nuts from this picture but my front end is all together, so no easy access...

Could you drill them out?

Re: Need help! Broken shock bolts!
Yeah I ended up having to drill all 4 of them out. I couldn't get them straight either..but they came out eventually. Then I bought 4 new bolts and they actually screwed right in, and then I put bolts on the topside because I had drilled away some of they threads. It was a PITA but it worked... Thanks for the help.
