![]() ![]() Hello from The North Georgia Mountains! I must confess, I too have been lurking around this GREAT site for a few months. I have been eyeing a couple of LOW BUDGET project trucks for quite some time. A '67 Small Window Longbed all original that is almost rust free The '67 owner wont sell... (its been sitting there for years too...) Jeez... A '71 GMC Longbed Fleetside that has been sitting under a Pecan Tree for the past 4+ years. I just bought the GMC. I always like the GMC front ends anyway. Its a Georgia truck with just a bit of rust thru. No floor rust, a Quarter sizes hole on the drivers side rocker, none on passenger. Inners look good from underneath. Cabcorners bubbling up a good bit. Windsheild surround, Cab Mounts and Bed are excellent. Radiator support has a bit in the lower corners. Surface rust everywhere. Original 350/350. Both are out of truck due to a thrust bearing issue. I'll be doing a minor My goal is a nice driver. This truck needs Drivers Door, its full of filler, a Front Passenger Fender (Crunched) and a chrome front bumper. Looking for used door and fender in original Dark Olive and White 2 tone. I think I can save the grill. Are those Bed Rails original? I'll keep posting pics as I get started. It will be June before I get ready. Thanks in advance for all the help in the future! Jeff |

Re: 1971 Low Dollar GMC
Welcome aboard from Shawnee, KS!
the bed rails were more than likely a dealer or previous owner add on. but, they add a nice touch to original lwb's.
