Newbie from Upstate NY

Hi everyone. I've already posted a couple of threads asking for help and now I guess I should introduce myself. I'm 63 and retired from NYS government. Years ago I restored a 57 Chevy and a 71 Z28 Camaro with my son. Wish we still had them. Now that I'm retired I figured I have the time to get into the hobby again. I live in Upstate NY near Catskill and winter in Brooksville Florida. I go to cruises several nights a week in Florida and I'm tired of being a spectator. I recently purchased a 54 GMC/Chevy truck on an S10 frame that someone else started. It came with a mixture of Chevy GMC parts. I plan on ratting it out but thats not set in stone. I have a build thread on here entitled 1st Build if you want to check it out http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=403683. I also am a moderator on another forum http://gearhead.forumotion.com/forum.htm which caters toward the rat rod scene.

Welcome. Let me know if you need any parts while up here in NY. I might be able to help you locate some. You're just over 2 hrs from me, and I often head out Rt 88 when going to visit my friend in CT.

I might take you up on the parts offer. Right now I need a Bell Housing with the Factory Slave Cylinder out of a G.M F-Body 1982-92. I am trying to match up a T5 tranny to a 73 307 SBC.
