Question bucket seat question!

Well..got the new upholstery to re-do my buddy bucket seats (1968)....and I am mad...
Well they are buddy buckets..but i dont think the seats are 1968...perhaps 69 to 72?
The seats had 2 wood blocks at each end (i thought to raise seats)..when i took the wood blocks i noticed the studs in the tracks would only line up with two holes on the seat frame. They were about 2 or 3 inches short or lining up with the opposite side 2 holes....weird huh?
I guess my bucket seat frame and center console are correct but i have later model buckes installed...which dont look right as they are narower...I'm sure my corect 68 buckets are a bid wider (as to fit correctly on the seat fram (studs will line up)..
My delima....I have 2 buckets ..re upholstered now..1 with new foam (drivers side) and they are not correct for my truck
Anybody have a couple correct 68 buckets they want to trade or sell? I have the correct frame..so i just need the two buckets..and slides...and I guess i have 2 off some later year..(must be 69, 70, 71).....
very confusing and had no idea i'd run into this problem when i started this project today..very upseting...
thx
kevin
