Cool another wheels fit question 96 Silverado

Hi..
Jez finished scoring a super polished aluminum set of rims originally off a late 80's Regency conversion. Look sorta like the slotted ET's, but polished instead of gray.

Two rims are 15x8. The other two are 15x10.

The question is; will these rims work on my 96 Silverado 3 door, or will there be a need for spacers?
Also, currently running 235's. Will these tires fit on the 15x10's?

Plan A is to put the 8's in front, 10's rear.

If it isn't lowered up front....it should fit.

Do a test fit and see for yourself.

I don't understand why spacers would even be in the picture here, but yeah, as long as they're the same bolt pattern, they'll work.

But those tires, not a chance. When you say 235 tires, I'm assuming you're talking about the stock 235/75s. Those tires would work on the 8" wheels, but I personally wouldn't do it purely for aesthetics. 255/70 tires on an 8" wheel would look much better. For the 10" wheels, the 235/75s would definitely NOT work. That would be stretching those tires quite a bit. 235/75s are designed for 6-8" wide wheels.

Re: another wheels fit question 96 Silverado

Thank you fer da info.

So... 15x8 ok on front, 15x10 with wider tire ok, too.

I guess this question should have been just about the 15x10 possible fitment/clearance problemos.

I will also add that they'll be alright as long as your future plans for the truck don't involve lowering it more than a 2/4 drop (if lowering is in the future). Since you say they came off of a conversion truck, I'm guessing that they have the standard off-the-shelf backspacing and won't tuck if you went any lower.

Cool Re: another wheels fit question 96 Silverado

At this time point my intention is to not do what everyone else is doing, so a drop would occur in the rear, only to level the truck out.
The person I bought the rims from said it was a Suburban Regency.
Yes, to others this may appear to be a no-brainer. But, if'n I knew, or knew of someone who knew the answer, I would not have posted in the first place, ya know.. So...this forum rocks!

Yeah, if all you're going to do is drop the rear to level it, you'll be just fine.
