Mustang II frontend

So, I am thinking of starting with a Mustang II complete front end kit. Weld on?? Or bolt on?? Would thid be a nice set up, and where would u guy's get this?? Thanks a Ton

Yes, I would ask the same question: What is it that you are wanting to accomplish?

Keep in mind that these trucks have a perfectly good IFS that can be easily upgraded to PS, discs and bags using factory and/or aftermarket parts, and for less money and work than a M-II would entail. The one thing you won't get is R&P steering, so if you feel that R&P is a "must have", then maybe a M-II is the right choice for you.

Thanks for replying, I do not want it to sit way way low on the ground, just a nice stance. I guess I could just get the after market suspension parts for the front end I already have. Just thought and have heard to go with the m II frontend. Heard it is really nice and the r and p steering is a real plus. After I take it down to the frame, I figured the front end is a good place to start, then move to the rear. Good idea??

dojo,if you really want the R&P you might want to look at the Porterbuilt front crossmember.It will have all the goodies and R&P,plus it's designed and built for the weight and size of a 1/2 ton truck.

there's a member here with the stock crossmember and rack and pinion steering. I'm considering doing the same in my build...as long as I can be satisfied with the strength of the install.
