a/c unit
i have a 1981 gmc sierra grande that im workin on i want to know about the a/c unit ,do you guys know if it has one ?how can i tell if it does ?

It will have vents in the dash heater controls say A/C and different heater box with compressor on the engine.

You'll should have something that would look like these.... A/C Compressor... Evaporator Box from the firewall... Accumulator Drier. (Black Can in the pix) and Temp Controls like this one too
