Re: My Beater

OK ......I'll give all yall the short version I am working on a 1936 chevy truck and my friend Roy found a parts truck, the only problem was he wanted 1000 bucks for it. This guy is about 70 and has C.O.P.D so he can't really do anything in the garage,so he needs a lot of work done around his place so I ask if if I could work the 36 off , good try he said but no. You guys see the garage Im workin in right, so I'm working out side, (all of you that live in Montana in the winter know what i'm talkin about) laying in the snow hoping that the chinook winds keep up and the guy that has the parts truck shows up and says if you want to use my garage you can just help me clean it up and do some work, now instead of a 12x24 I have a KEY TO A 30X50 WITH A TON OF TOOLS I'M STOKED YEA P.S HERES A FEW MORE

Good starting point, at least it looks like it's all there. My wife has a 41 gmc 3/4 ton flatbed but it's a little further along in the restoration process. Looks like you have some projects come spring!

Re: My Beater

Here some pictures of my wife's truck, not the best but the only ones I could find. They were taken at the Dam Car Show in oroville last summer.

Re: My Beater

Hey all I have a question my truck has the 8 lug set up and I am having such a hard time trying to find rims for it that I am threatening to put 6 lugs under it. What do all of y'all think 6 or 8 lug ? what are the benefits and what are the down sides ? Thanks all

Re: My Beater

8 lugs are going cheap now. I really like the look of the 2000's stock 3/4 ton wheels under these trucks. I think it would be a little down grade going to 6 lug. IMO

Re: My Beater

Down side of going to 6 lug: you will probably spend more doing the conversion than a good set of 8 lug wheels will cost.
