Moving your stereo
Ok so i hate where the stereo is placed in a 1982 k10 standard cab with short bed. I am looking for ways to move the stereo and where to it and hopefully its easy to do and does not cost much.

Re: Moving your stereo
The only associated cost would be for wire to extend the stock harness to wherever you wanted to put the radio and materials for mounting. I have seen some people make a custom center console and placed the radio in it. The location and mounting is completely up to you.

Re: Moving your stereo
With the new remote control radios on the market now I was going to put mine behind the seat, along with 2 or 3 100,000 watt amps. Then look for a vacuum cleaner to pick up all the broken glass.

Re: Moving your stereo
If your truck is non a/c you could probably put the stereo up above the heater control where that " storage pocket" is...
i've always wanted to do this but all our trucks have a/c

Re: Moving your stereo
The center console idea is easy and no molesting of the truck has to be done.
