Another dumb question, exhaust flanges

I love this site because I know someone out there probably knows this. I have a perfectly good 2 1/4 inch exhaust system that I want to use with my 05 Silverado 5.3 motor. I am using the stock exhaust manifolds, and while the pipe seems like it will fit, the flanges on the exhaust side are too small. The flanges I have are 3" between each hole (triangle pattern) and a 2 1/4 inch pass through for the pipe. The truck has 4" between the bolts (traingle pattern as well). Does anyone make a flange that will work for me??

try looking at speedway motors catalogue they have alot of different stuff for fabricating exhaust systems// i'd just take a piece of 1/4" or 3/8"steel plate and make my own

Hey Orlando, I've been wondering if you were still working on this. As far as flanges go, I don't think anybody makes them. What I've done in the past is to cut some out of 3/8 plate using the original gasket as a pattern. Then take the manifolds to an exhaust shop and find some donut gaskets that fit in the hole, and have the exhaust pipe flared on the end.

Hey! I just touched the truck for the first time in 9 months. My wife was pregnant with twins and they came 3 months too early, after that 5 months in the hospital to get them OK to come home, and here we all sit.

Just to let people know, I ended up getting the flanges from spdexhaust.com. I have a local shop that is going to cut the top of my pipes and weld on a 2 1/2 transition and then flair the ends so I don't have to do anything weird with the flanges. I asked if he could stretch them and he said it would ruin the current flairs on the pipes.
