Re: how wide?

I have hauled many ,many trucks on my old 83" wide 16 foot trailer . I sold it a couple weeks back and will be buying an 18 foot trailer when one presents itself . Nothing longer than that for me . I pulled an 18 footer this past weekend and I dont think I want one any longer . My trailer did not have side rails . It was a hauler . If it had rails , it might be a problem with our trucks .

Re: how wide?

Moose- just a few miles to your east in Carthage here. I have an 83x18 dovetail hauler with a wood floor and pulls great. I believe the brand is Challenger. Have pulled my old 83 swb all over the earth with no problems. I traded for it about 8 years ago, and replaced the wood floor in it then, which probably needs replacing again. As far as metal floor goes, the "D" rings in the floor for your ratchet straps work well. All the tie down points on mine are on the sides. If your ever out this way on 79, shoot me a pm and your welcome to stop and check it out.
