shifter knob removel?
how do you take the knob of of the colume auto shifter cant seem to get if of any tricks or tips would be great

I want to say that it is just pushed onto a splined shaft. Should just have to pull it real hard.

try some channel locks and twist it off, if it wont budge use a heat gun at the bottom and grab the top and twist n pull.

Im almost positive it just a push type fit.... kinda like golf club grips... just pull real hard.. you could also remove the shifter from the colum so you dont bust your knuckles or anything...

yeah you guys are right, its just push on with some splines, i just grab them with channel llocks and twist them off. damn near evey gm vehicle ive had ended up with some sort of different knob. shouldnt be hard, but i have had them ones, a heat gun does help a bit, and ive never had to take off the whole arm.

well got the old shift nob off it was a pain in the a$$ but i got it drilled out my new skull nob and put it on ill get a pic tommarrow thanx for the help
