i found rust!!!!@!

Here on the East Coast if you pull the floor padding back like that you are likely to find road.

looks like surface rust. scrape it out, spray a sealer and primer and call it good.

I would look up along the kick panel and up toward the windshield to see if you have a leak. My guess it that your windshield is leaking and water is running down the kick panel and pooling under the carpet. Happened on all of my square bodies - I had one rust completely through in AZ.

In the NE--that is NOT rust!!! My eyes are bad, but I do not see any rust!!! As billnorman has said we usually find road!
