Hi! I want to know the opinions from people who use wheels adapters. What you recommend?
What I want to know:
1 - pro/contra mounted on front axle
2 - pro/contra mounted on rear axle
A - pro/contra made of aluminium
B - pro/contra made of steel
If you have problems during exploitation, please specify. Thank you!

have never had problems with my billet aluminum 1.0" spacers on the rear of my truck. however, the cast aluminum types of years ago are brittle and can and have broke.

so my answer is billet aluminum yes. cast aluminum no. steel, don't know.

spend the extra money and go billet.

I wouldn't use spacers on the front without verifying that the steering axis goes through the center of the tire contact patch. The rears are somewhat less critical. Your main concern there is that the wheel bearing life might be reduced.

I don't want to use adapters on front axle! I want to have equally track on both axles. There is 60mm difference between - 1760/1700 WMS front/rear.

The best choice outside of a wider rear end or different offset on the wheels would be 1" billet adapters.

1) Spacers are not recommended because of the stress on the wheel studs.
2) Dont use cast spacers if steel are available.
3) 1" is too much for steel spacers stacked (you need 30mm each side, see note # 1).
4) I've never seen a steel adapter.

Your observations are real!
Steel adapters I can made here, in RO. Here I saw many steel adapters, on various off-road cars.
30mm adapters will be perfect, because I don't put nothing on front!
1.5" adapters on rear, will needs to put 8mm spacers on front.
1" adapters on rear, will needs to put 5mm spacers on rear.
I dont want to pull wheels too much out; I already have the 16x8 ET -6 steel rims and 285/75R16 BFG KM2 tires.
