Try on the 67-72 side I think the 6 lug conversion rotors are the same as the 73 up 1 1/4 rotors. HTH Jay

Standard 6-lug disc brake conversion rotors will work if you have the 1.25" HD brake option. If your truck is equipped w/the 'light duty' 1" brakes, it's possible that the last production year Astro van rotors might interchange.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

What are you wanting them for? Are you doing a 6-lug conversion or do you need replacement parts?

I got the parts from a 93 light duty C2500 to convert my 67 C10 to 6-lug disc. The same setup will work on a square body too.

You also need a different inner tie rod and 3/4-ton square body lower control arms and ball joints to complete the package. Half ton's use a smaller OD lower ball joint so the arms won't work.

It's possible the light duty C2500 6-lug rotors fit a square body spindle. I will look up the bearing usage for both and see where that gets us.

If I had a 2wd square body spindle I would take my parts and give it a try.

The C2500 new body style and the C10 square body call for the same Timken set 3 and set 5 inner & outer wheel bearings so it is possible the light duty C2500 rotors fit.

From what I've read, the bearings are correct; the position of the caliper to rotor surface is different on the 73-87 rotors vs. post 88's.

Re: 6 lug rotors for 82 gmc 2wd

Actually here is my dilemma I have a 68 that I am putting an 82 front end on so I can get disc brakes, and figured it would be easier to just hopefully find 6 lug rotors instead of swapping out the rear axle as well to have matching bolt pattern all the way around and figured i might get an answer out of the 73-87 guys because I havent been able to find just the rotors for sale the only thing Im finding is the whole 6 lug kit for the swap

They sell the conversion 6-lug rotors individually.

You are doing the same thing I did then. The new body style C2500 light duty trucks have six-lug instead of 8-lug and the whole spindle assembly will pretty much bolt up. You need a set of square body 3/4-ton lower A-arms and the ball joints from the C2500. The upper ball joints from the C2500 will fit the 68 upper A-arms. You need the C2500 outer tie rods and the adjusters plus a set of inner tie rods from an Astro van. Moog part 2020RL.

They even fit inside my 15" Cragar Soft-8 wheels.

What I'm reading is two different methods of swapping to 6-lug discs. If he already has an 82 donor w/the 73-87 parts, why go through the trouble of sourcing the required parts for the post 88 lt-duty 2500 style swap when all he needs is the correct rotor to use w/what he already has?

CPP sells a 6-lug rotor that is a direct swap w/parts he already has.

88-98 I believe are the correct 6-lug.

In 92 or 93 up the C1500 five lug rotors and the C2500 six lug rotors ride on the same spindle so it is possible to go this route for a five lug swap too.

Nothing against the retrofit rotors from CPP, they are a great product. The point was to put on easy to source GM rotors instead of custom rotors only available through mail order places. I can get replacement rotors for mine at any local auto parts store for right at $70 each or at the wrecking yard for $12 each.

I paid less than $100 for the whole setup on my truck including the lower A-arms and new brake hoses so if he can get serviceable used rotors, calipers & front end parts it could be a less expensive route to go.
