Re: which 235?

Get the casting number off the passenger side of the block. Raised letters, usually around the starter. Then go to www.inliners.org and look under casting numbers.

Re: which 235?

Casting numbers, but more specifically, the stamped numbers on the pad adjacent to the rear of the distributor.

The 235 was only available in the light-duty trucks from '60-'62 and will be a J, JB or JC code, but not available in the light-duty trucks from '63-66.

The 230 was only available in the light-duty trucks from '63-'66, but not available in the light-duty trucks from '60-'62.

The 250 was only available in the light-duty trucks in '66, but not available in the light-duty trucks from '60-'65.

The 292 was only available in the light-duty trucks from '63-'66, but not available in the light-duty trucks from '60-'62.

Re: which 235?

1963 you could get the 230 as standard equipment in a C50 or a 292 as an option. C60 standard 292, optioned V8.
