Carb. problem
Noticed a slight problem the last couple of days with the truck. Come home and park and smell gas. In the AM there would be a small puddle of gas under it. Thought it was the feed line into the fuel pump cause it just had a spring clamp on it. Put 2 screw clamps on. Today, drove the truck into town and parked it nose down on a hill. Came out and truck wouldn't start. Took of air cleaner to nib and there was a puddle of gas on both sides of the intake and running down the rt. head and dripping about where the fuel pump is. Gas was just pouring out where the butterfly rod comes throught the sides of the carb. Do you think this is just a float problem or something worse? Oh, got truck running by drifting down hill and popping the clutch. Just glad it didn't backfire and catch fire!! Got home and now it seems fine. Maybe it is a hill dependent problem lol. Don't really want to replace carb right now because I intend to pull the motor and go through it soon. If you think it is the float are they hard to fix/change? Boy I need to get the 1 ton on the road.
OOOPS, Meant to put this on Message Board.

Pull the needle and seat, and check float level...sounds too high.
