Starter wiring....

What happens if you connect the purple wire to the wrong post of the solenoid? Which is the correct post to attach the wire to, the one marked "S" or "R" ( i think its an R).

purple wire goes to S whatever you do don't hook it up wrong cause if you do your truck will turn into a volkswagon!!!

It wont start. (LOL) i did the same thing (hooked them up backwards), I did not pay atention to the S/R on them, before installing Starter

And R is for remote. It sends the power to the points remotly via the solinoid.
