Custom 67-72 low hump subwoofer setup F/S
I am selling my 67-72 sub box loaded with 2 Kicker COMP C-10 10" subs. I made it about 4 years ago, the subs were never loaded very hard and worked just fine when pulled. The subs are rated at 125 watts RMS (not sure of peak handling) @ 4 ohms, single voice coils. I powered them with a Rockford Fosgate 601s (150 RMS each @ 4 ohms) and they sounded damn good. Down-fire configuration. They are already wired and ready to go. No cracks in the speaker surrounding material or any damage to the cones. Boxes stuffed with poly-fil for increased low end bass extension. 1 cubic feet of sealed airspace in each chamber.
Included will be 4 2" blocks to raise your seat. It will install easilly under a stock bench seat (though you may loose your forward and back slide control. Mine was always broken on my bench). The raised seat never bothered me, but make sure your legs will be comfortable under your steering wheel. Any questions, please ask me. See pics below. Asking price is $175 + actual shipping. The box weighs 39 pounds and is 42x16x7 overall. Shipped from 89129. Please use http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatep...lculatepostage to calculate your shipping.

Re: Custom 67-72 low hump subwoofer setup F/S
Just a quik question....and by the way, real good idea you came up with there, because my last 72 I had to get rid of the tank behund the seat to make room for the jams....anyway my question is are the chambers sealed off from one another, or do you have the center open as well? Thinking about making one myself. Any help would be appreciated.

I think its pioneer that came out with a new super thin sub-something like 2-3 inches. If you used those you could get away without raising the seat- I'll probably do that if I ever put subs back in it. They are pretty pricey if I remember, though. Good luck man. Shoot me a PM if you need anything.

[QUOTE=chevy72blu;2740957]Definately seal off each chamber. If you dont, you'll get cancellation between the 2 subs.
this is not true! i personaly do car stereo for a living and never had a problem |

Re: Custom 67-72 low hump subwoofer setup F/S
when you had the box in, how much space was there between the seat. Also wasn't it to tight between your legs and steering wheel. I have a 14" wheel and i still think it would be tight.

Guys....he made the blocks. If you actually looked through the first post, you'll see pics of them and they're made out of 1x1 square tubing welded together.
