cargo light

i can't remember what turns on the cargo light.is it when you open the door?or when you turn the headlight switch all the way to the left? or both? or none of the above

Stock theres a switch on the rear roof pillar by the seat belt mount. if the switch is turned on, it comes on with the courtesy lights, if its off it doesnt do anything.

The cargo light is wired in series with the dome light/under dash lights and they will all illuminate with either the opening of a door (or rotating the head light switch CCW to the courtesy light position).

But if you don't want the cargo light to come on (say you are at the drive-ins), it can be disabled by that switch on the LH pillar cover.

thanks guy's.mine hasn't been coming on.first thing i'll check is the switch i forgot was there.
