Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

Just found out myself that if you move the big block to the back holes with tall valve covers the firewall will hit them. I'm planning on pulling the motor again and modifying the firewall to allow for the tall covers.

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

I have a brand new set of ceramic coated headers I bought for my project a few years ago. The big block is going in my camaro now, so I have no use for them. Let me know if your interested. NEVERMIND I should have read all the pages before offering the headers. I see you have some installed. Looks real good.

The Big Block will fit on the L6 mounts but you have to notch the firewall.

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

Yeah I started to use the factory I6 mounts. Just wanted to switch to the more desirable car style motor mount. I went with the tubular ones from performance online in conjuction with moroso solid motor mounts.
