Need help on what parts to replace on my front end please.

Hello all,

My latest project is a '87 K5 that i did some trading for. Its in very good condition overall. The first thing on my list to do is to get the ride/steering/handling back to "like new" condition. I want it to be tight, crisp, and responsive again just like it came off the dealership floor. Can you all tell me exactly what all the parts are that im going to need to replace to get this done please. Also is there anyone that sells a "front end kit" to replace all this stuff or do I need to buy it all seperatley and if anyone has done this recently in their truck or blazer, what was the total cost and where did you get your parts from?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Re: Need help on what parts to replace on my front end please.

Im in the same boat with my 79. Im going with poly control arm bushings, all new upper and lower ball joints, all new tie rod ends, new idler arm, new pitman arm, new coil springs (2 inch drop), wheel bearings, brakes, and shocks. after the alignment is should be better than when it rolled of the production line. Oh I forgot swaybar bushings.
