Re: WANTED : opinion's on what to do about my bed floor ,

I've run a BedRug(tm) on my last 4 trucks .... a nice soft surface, keeps from further banging up the bed, and hides a multitude of sins. I'll never leave home again without one!

Re: WANTED : opinion's on what to do about my bed floor ,

I have the same problem with the floor in my 72. I bought a 3/4 rubber mat from Les Schwab for about $69, it was easy to make fit perfectly and as a bonus it completely did away with the sound an empty bed makes when you hit a bump or simply driving down a rough stretch of highway. I was surprised how much noise comes from the bed floor, after putting in the mat the entire truck sounded different, it's a nice clean, solid sound instead of the tinny sound I used to hear in the back. Being 3/4 thick it hides all imperfections you may have on the floor. I ended up buying one for my 69 as well. The mat is made up of chopped up tires and really looks nice.

Re: WANTED : opinion's on what to do about my bed floor ,

this thread is old I still have not done anything to my bed floor , I am still unsure whether I want to just buy a new metal floor or put the wood floor in it ??
the wood look's better but is more trouble and won't last as long , the metal is more durable and easy to install so I DON'T KNOW ???

I bought a heavy rubber bed mat, and love it. It protects the floor and paint yet allows me to haul my stuff. It looks much better than spray in liner, and I can pull it out if needed. The best part is it was less cheap. I think it was 60.00 or less.
Did the exact same thing and haven't regreted it once.

Plus it's removable.... added bonus!
