Florida Salvage yards
Does anyone know of any good salvage yards in Central Florida or within a reasonable drive for parts for our trucks? I am looking for a front clip for my 71 Chevy (among other things) and it seems like all of the yards I've spoken to focus on the newer vehicles.
Thanks! |

Re: Florida Salvage yards
Theres an awesome junkyard here in Debary. American Auto Salvage and Recycling. There are also 2 junkyards in deland off of 17-92. and a U Pull and Pay on 92 on the way to Daytona. The one in debary is the best they have a bunch of old cars and trucks (1950's-1980's) lots of rare and hard to find parts.

Re: Florida Salvage yards
I'm out by UCF and there's nothing good at the Junkyards along 50 out here going into Bithlo, or at the ones in Apopka. I've spent hours at all them and most of the stuff is newer, although I did get my alternator/brackets/pulley's off an older El Camino for $30 at J&B.

Re: Florida Salvage yards
man, you guys are lucky.
Out here near chicago there is almost nothing. If there is it is usually priced high. I went to the boneyard in may looking for a quadrajet and had to REPEAT myself 3 times. LOL . They said they hadn't done carburators in a couple years. Oh, and no more taking a walk out in the yard. If you need something they send someone to get it. Sad, i used to love "pinching" the little stuff like relays, elec. chokes, door handles, etc. LOL We do have a "U pull it" around here, Nothing but empty carcass left after the employees and their buddies get done grabbing all the good stuff.
