remove window

on my 84 with electric windows, i replaced the door, but now realize i want the window glass for my new door. can i pull the window out with it rolled up or will i need to supply power to window motor to lower it?

i think you might be able to remove the regulator and the window without rolling it down. might be more difficult that way

Don't try this! The regulator lift arms will spring up when you remove the motor because it has a tension spring to help the glass go up. If you unbolt the window and take the motor off it will spring up and cause damage.

Just lower the regulator, slide the sash reaward to disengage the rollers. Then remove the window glass.
