my neighbors no longer complain. i had this one sob that complained about my junk and my dogs barking. (i live in a rural area on a 5 acre lot) his dog keeps coming on to my property and hes *****in at me. one day his dog is startin $hit with my dog so i walked out of the garage with my 30.06 and shot his dog in the a$$ he sees it an comes over to my property pissin and moanin even more. for some reason he avoids me after i threatend to shoot him to.

I'm going to say a few things concering both sides.

The neighbor in question was wrong. He should have talked to you first before calling the cops. I don't see anything wrong with what you did.

Now Mac, you're arguments are really baseless. You live in a rural area. No one in their right mind would come tell you to clean up your "junk cars" or whatever. That's the joy of living in rural areas.

Some of you need to understand that buying a new home in a residential area requires signing agreements. You agree to follow their rules when you buy a house in their neighborhood. If you don't like their rules, then don't buy your house there! Simple. Go buy land outside of town where you don't have to sign a bunch of foolish agreements. Do I agree with these papers you have to sign? Hell no, but that means I won't buy a house there.

If somehow I was a memeber of one of these divisions, and a neighbor was not following the rules he agreed to, I would have words with him, then call whoever is in charge. Now, I wouldn't call on every little thing. It would have to be alot of things and he proves that it's not a one-time deal. It's a habit.

And Mac, you getting all mad and loud is silly. Calm down. Saying, "come make me move my cars" or whatever. Please man, come on. Look at your pictures. I don't even see another house anywhere near you. Who is going to come tell you to get rid of your cars? Seriously. If they do, then they're stupid. Ignore them.

You got worked up just a bit too much and made yourself look rather silly. Saying you wished you were face to face? Basically asking for a fight? Very mature. look its another english teacher ,, telling me its silly to get heated over a comment,,then shows me which button to use when i do get fired up ? my new 72 was the first one to make the face to face comment,, and just recently the state came in and did try to make alot of folks out here in this rural area get rid of theyre junk cars,, and they did,, there are still a handful of guys in court over it whom have already had to shell out over 3000 bucks in fines,,and get this sh*t ,, they even went as far as to show them a rule book that stated in the state of illinois it is illeagal to work on youre own vehicle,,it is to be done by a certified shop,, so dont think that just because i am in a rural area that im safe from the rules, and they may not be in the pictures but i do have neighbors,, you just cant see the houses for the trees,, but my neighbors are all right,, and i know internet fighting is ridiculous,, but he said somthing about me not saying somthing to his face, i was just letting him know i have no problems talking to him face to face, just alot of miles in between,, like i said,, ill fight for what i belive tooth and nail,, not trying to offend anyone ,, but this is what i believe in,,making sure my words are heard,, and i am kinda getting a kick out of this to ,,ha ha ha
