cross sill notch

How much do you have to notch the bed cross sill when doing a an under the bed gas tank install? On a 71 long fleetside

Depends on the tank you plan to use. For an 18 or 22 gal. ECE tank...no notch is required.

If you notch it in half then you can re-weld it to retain the strength. Should give enough clearance.
