Bed removal/slash standing up

Once the bed is removed is it safe to stand it up on end? Was wanting to do this so we could notch the cross sill for the rear tank installation? Are there any provisions to prevent from damaging the body?

Re: Bed removal/slash standing up

I have been thinking about standing my short step-side bed on the front to prime and paint the bottom, but have not got to that point yet so I would also be interested if it is ok.

I am thinking it will be ok if I put down something soft and use a cherry picker. It seems when I need help no one is around, lol.

Re: Bed removal/slash standing up

If the wood is in good shape, Upside down on blankets or rugs if you got the man power.

As mentioned just above, if your gonna stand it up, try and strap it some how,,, just in case...
