95 K1500 bigger tires Speedo

I have a 95 k1500 w/t with a v6 and a 5 speed. I wanna put some bigger tires than the factory 225 75 16's and want to calibrate the speedometer correctly. I have found a couple that say they would only work with the automatic transmission. Anybody have any programmers or solutions that would work?

There is a small computer behind glove box mounted on the HVAC unit, it has about 5 wires going to it i believe. I had to change mine out when i put 3.73's in it, it got the a lot speedo closer but still not exact, mine also has an auto in it.. maybe someone with some better info will chime it but its something to check into. Ill see if can round up some info for you.

That's the DRAC. Not sure if it's used on the manual.

Maybe do a search on this site?

1995 is not a DRAC (Digital Ration Adapter Controller), it is a VSSB (Vehicle Speed Sensor Buffer), and yes the manual trucks have them also....

check this out....

tires or gear change you don't need to change the vssb you can just have it recalibrated. just google around and you should find something.

I posted a link above with step by step instructions to DIY and it even has a formula to figure out exactly what settings you need.
