Radiator leaking
I need to replace the radiator in my 86 with a 305/700r4 and A/C. Should I go stock, aluminum or what? What do you use and how well does it work?

I just bought one from NAPA, It has plastic tanks and aluminum center. I think that how they all are now. I have no problems with it. Fit just like a replacement.

when mu friend borrowed my truck the radiator blew out and he had to put in a different radiator they needed some different mounts for it but it does work fine... the thing used mounts oit of the 88 up truck

I just had to do this on my same combination truck. I picked up a used radiator out of a similar year suburban that is working perfect and fit with no modifications. Swap took about 30 minutes which is yet another reason why I love these trucks!

I replaced a few radiators on the squares I have owned. I bought the last one online and that website directed me to a local store for a good price. It was a thick 3 core, not a 4 core, for my 454 with A/C, but it was the same model as the one I was replacing. It was traditional brass top and copper core. It works fine out here in the desert heat. The brand was Ready Rad. I got like $40 scrap for the old radiator, and paid about $140 for the new one. I think you can get one even cheaper if you shop around. I would not go aluminum or plastic - the last aluminum I had was in my 63 split window Cprvette 44 years ago - and it leaked at the fittings.
