I dont have a number for them but you can get a restoration packet from gm with your vin number by calling there hotline...its free here in the us but im not sure about canada..other then that the vin wont really tell you alot about the truck..your best bet is to post up a picture of the spid label located on the back of the glove box door and we can help you decode it because all of your options are listed on it..good luck

Re: Classic Car Vehicle VIN number Search

Actually, right on our homepage is a link to a chevy truck VIN decoder... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/Chevyear.html

CS148A163331 Decodes as;
C. 2 wheel drive
S. inline 6 (doesn't say which inline)
1. 1/2 ton
4. cab and bed (again, does not specify)
8. 1968
A. built at the Atlanta build plant
163331 is the 63331st built.

the restoration packet mentioned above is no longer free in the US, it's now a total rip off at $50 with no info specific to your particular vehicle. The ones in Canadia used to be $50 and DID include specific info on your vehicle (assuming it was built and/or sold there originally) but there's no telling what they would charge now.

Re: Classic Car Vehicle VIN number Search

I requested mine from GM Canada late last year for $57.75 or if you want rush (fax) it is $68.25 (CDN). They give you a number of documents that verifies the options list, original color, production dates, engine number, selling dealer and number produced. They also sent me a photo copy of the sales brochure and a document listing all available options with prices. Well worth the price in my mind.
