Good use of a 73's bent frame
This truck a 1973 3/4 ton was hit hard in the front and I decided the rear part would make a good truck trailer. It was a little tricky because unlike the 60-72 frames this one curves up.
The Cab is in great shape and I traded the bed for yard work. I have an old dually bed to use for the trailer. Last edited by srr; 06-24-2010 at 12:23 AM. |

Re: Good use of a 73's bent frame
I'm doing the exact same thing with a 1/2 ton frame I have. I'm doing mine alittle different. I'm putting a long beam down most of the center and attaching the tongue to it and the. I'm going to notch and pull the side of the frame into that beam. It'll be welded to cross supports going down perpendicular to the frame rails.
