Wheel Bolt Pattern Question

I just wanted to make sure of this before I ordered new wheels for my 1970 Chevy C20 with 8 lug wheels. the bolt pattern is 8 on 6.5 right? THanks

I think so...they are pretty much all the same, ford, dodge, GM...it's the center 'hub hole' that matters.

yeah, I have Dodge wheels on my 3/4 ton but I hear the Dodge cannot use Chevy wheels......

The wheels were originally designed as hub piloted wheels I believe. They use the center hole to hub contact to maintain the wheel centered. Good part about that is you lift up the wheel and once it goes over the center hub you don't have to hold it up while trying to thread on your lug nuts. You can use other manufactures wheel like Dodge or Ford but the center hole diameter is to large to correctly center the wheel. You then have to use lug nuts designed for stud piloted wheel. You know the type. The chamfered end of the lug nut mates with a corresponding chamfer on the stud hole in the wheel. The hub piloted lug nuts are typically flat on the face against the wheel unless you use a clamping plate which was common in all newer GM applications.
