I've never heard of anyone swapping a diesel in place of a 350, usually the other way around. Sounds cool!

Try asking this in the engine & drivetrain board and more people will see it.

The 6.2 will bolt right in. Same bellhousing pattern, mounts, etc. You will have to run hydro boost for your brakes, Diesels make no vaccume.

To be honest, I don't know why you would want a 6.2. It is a giant boat anchor (IMO) They really don't have much power unless you turbo them. Mine leaks oil like a dang Jimmy 2 cycle diesel and it is really loud. Plus it is hard to start and I spend a small forture heating the darn thing in the winter. Despite all that, they seem to be very expensive to buy.
On the plus side, they do get reasonable milage and they do run forever.

I have a 6.2 in my truck and was thinking about going to a 502. I think you would want to get a truck that had everything for a doner. The electrical/starter system must be a little different as it has a glowplug system and even the dash bezel has extra holes for the glowplug lights. The fuel filters are on the firewall and it has an unbelievable amount of sound dampening felt everywhere. Dual batteries, huge radiator with engine oil cooler and heavier front springs.

Sounds like a lot of work to me.

Good luck
