Re: Original 69-72 GM am/fm

Interested in Radio. Is it from a Truck or a Van? Would you be able to post a picture of the rear of the unit? Does it work as far as receiving and playing signal? Thankyou for more info. Jeff.

Re: Original 69-72 GM am/fm

I got it from a 1970 Suburban about 6 years ago, It was for my burb but I never got to install it or test it.
I was going to send it to a guy that converts old radios with new AM/FM and Ipod/ mp3 internal parts and ports, but I never got around to it.

John H.
$310 and and you have a deal and a nice radio!
If John passes, I'll let it go at this same price to the next in line

$310 Shipped

Re: Original 69-72 GM am/fm

I will take a gamble on it working. Looks like the screws holding the face plate on are missing, but looks very nice.

How do you want paid?

PM payment instructions.

At first glance, the numbers on the dial are different, and I think that the case is a little different also.

Re: Original 69-72 GM am/fm

Looks great! The difference is the numbers on a van radio are a different font and size, they may be white to vs a greenish background. The case where the antenna goes in is angled on a corner and the truck goes straight in. There may be more.

Re: Original 69-72 GM am/fm

Van radio's all have the antenna pluging into the bottom of the radio while the truck plugs into the right side behind the heat sink. A van has different style numbers and letters on the face plate but that can be easily changed to look like the truck.
