door glass channel

Does anyone know where to get narrow door glass channel for 1948 chevy? I've seen some trucks use glass without the ban on the outsie which would make the glass about 1/4" thick instead of the 3/8". This also wpuld cause the glass to be loose in the standard channel but I do not know enough about channel to know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

I got my narrow glass channel from a dealer at a swap meet. A lot of people go with the smooth glass, so I'm sure you can probably find it online some where.

Good luck

Re: door glass channel

Try the clip house out of Colorado they have all the stuff you need for channels. A quick web search will give you the web site. My friend got his there and they are great to deal with. Also, I got a pair from the turkey rod run in Florida they were sent from a place called C R Lawrence from Atlanta. They sent them in a tube mailer, 8 foot long so they were pristine when they arrived not bent like most mail out. I still have the tube if you don't find them on the web I have their number on the tube in the garage. Good luck.
