I don't have a picture yet of the hump on and the standard in it.

Re: What did you get done? 4th of July editon

Spent Saturday repairing my Olds where my daughter wrecked it. Sunday, trying to fix AC on Olds and eating brisket with family. Too lazy to go anywhere for fireworks. Monday start tearing into my 79 C-20 engine to see if cracked head or blown head gasket. Whoo hoo!

Sat. I worked around the house. Sun I worked overtime and got Holiday pay as well Monday drove down to check out a truck for a fellow board member. Had a great time. Might be buying an 89 Burban 2500 from them with a built 454tbi and th400. That should pull my RV with NO PROBLEM! My trucks tired 350 didn't like doing that AT ALL. He told me so......

Re: What did you get done? 4th of July editon

man, how did this pass me by? This weekend i didnt get much done on my truck other then changing the rear tires out for some monster meats and putting on the cab trim, b ut i dont think that counts since i did it on friday. Saturday i had to take my alternator back to the guy that rebuilt it for the third time cause it keeps blowing the regulator, i think the third time was a charm but i think only time will tell. On sunday i spent time with my 11 week old son it was his first 4th of july and i put his little ass in the pool and im glad to see that he absolutely loved it! the weather here in miami was no where near good so it went from nice and sunny to looking like a monsoon was coming in. Saw some fireworks with the little guy again, he impressed me i thought he was going to be afraid of the big booms and stuff and he loved it all, hes a little american bad ass, im going to have my hands full with him. I had monday off but i just stayed around the house relaxing and doing some small things here and there nothing else truck related.

Re: What did you get done? 4th of July editon

Today was the last day of my weekend. As far as truck related, I got very little accomplished. I did take it to the dragstrip thursday night. I spent most of the long weekend working on a buddies 383 that we are putting in his 72 Nova, it should be a little tire fryer!! I watched a great fireworks show on base friday night and then spent an hour and a half to get to my house which is a 7 min drive, the traffic getting off base was retarded!! I am uploading the videos of the trip to the strip so I will post them when that gets done.

Re: What did you get done? 4th of July editon

Found two sets of speaker wires behind the seat when I was removing all of the trim and seat belts from the 83. Plugged in speakers and they worked. So, I had to build speaker boxes for the cab corners and order a pair of cheap speakers for the back. Still working on those speaker boxes - nothing is straight, level or uniform in those cab corners - especially left and right don't match up. Rigged up an aftermarket radio cover for the hacked up instrument panel last week and anxious to put it in. I have the interior all torn up waiting for parts from OE warehouse (10 days and still not out of the warehouse.) Almost done with repainting all interior trim, then it's to the upholsterer for new carpet, when I get my other parts in. Got a new windshield with OEM type radio antenna - waiting on LMC parts to complete antenna hookup.

Re: What did you get done? 4th of July editon

Bodywork marathon all weekend, readying for the Loveland, CO. Summerfest in the Rockies show this coming Saturday! Nearly done enough!
Still a truck, FRANKENTRUCK is nearly straight and smooth! Long gone is the bullet hole and the "cattle-damage" from living in a WY pasture for so long.
Todd.
